- All my grandparents and aunts arriving Christmas morning, ready to stay with us until the day after Boxing Day. I loved having my family around.
- Going to bed at night to a plain house, and coming down the following morning to decorations and a tree in the living room. It was a present all in itself :).
- Playing cards with my family in the evening, and my sister (somehow in charge of my Nan's cards) speaking for Nan: "She's sticking."
- Watching my grandparents fall asleep, one by one, in the lounge after a very filling dinner.
- My nephew telling me quite early last year's Christmas morning that: "Father Christmas has come."

Very nice memories! We open presents on Christmas Eve, and my favorite memory is my dad taking us out to look for Santa's Sleigh while my mom scurried around with the presents.
We used to play cards as well. Usually it was just my immediate family as we moved around a lot when I was young.
Aubrie: That's such a sweet memory.
Alex: We would usually stick to Sevens or Pontoon (and if I'm getting those names right, I'll be very surprised). It was the atmosphere I loved most, which I'm sure you had too. It doesn't matter how many people you're with.
So beautiful... love such memories... can just imagine how wonderful coming down to decorated trees and pressies would be.
Great memories. :)
TF Walsh: My mother has never been one for Christmas, but she did make the house look lovely when she put her mind to it.
Eagle: Definitely :).
